Stress engineering made easy. If we'd have to name one discipline as a corner stone for Optimi it would be Stress Engineering. Classification societies have their own requirements but without in-depth understanding and insight into the process there is no chance of success.

From the very beginning we have our designers and stress experts sit together and think the life-cycle through. This way we get a head start defining the fatigue mission and possible damage tolerance issues well in advance.

Because Optimi places such an emphasis on getting the overall design right on the first go there is no way round the advanced FEA. ANSYS, Patran / Nastran, and ABAQUS are the usual tools along with our own in-house code for the trickier problems.

Optimal structures are our passion and to that end we usually perform parametric design coupled with evolutionary solution sequences. Each project is different but you can count on us converging on the solution.
